Notice is hereby given that the Montezuma County Board of County Commissioners will hold a
Public Hearing for review and determination regarding a proposed
Single Lot Development & AR3-9 Rezoning Application, submitted by
Sharon Palmer; agent: Brian McLaughlin, on property located at
6015 Hwy 160-491, Cortez, CO, consisting of approximately 7 acres,
located north of Road F, west of Hwy 160-491, situated in Section 9, Township 35N, Range 16W, N.M.P.M.
The hearing will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room,
Montezuma County Administrative Offices, 109 W. Main, Cortez, CO.
Other items may be discussed.
The Public Comment portion of the agenda provides the public an opportunity to speak to the Board
about issues that are not on the main agenda. Testimony relating to scheduled agenda
items will not be allowed during Public Comment.
Rules of decorum will be strictly enforced. Outbursts and interruptions—including
shouting, clapping, booing, laughing, or other reactions—are prohibited. Comments may only be made
by Montezuma County residents who have been recognized by the Chair, are speaking into the microphone,
and have stated their name and address for the record.
Each person will have 3 minutes to comment. No speaker may yield time to another.
Comments shall be directed only to the Board. No comments or questions shall be directed to staff or
other members of the public.
The Consent Agenda allows the Board to focus on more complex items. These items are generally
non‑controversial and may be approved by a single motion. Any item may be removed and addressed
individually if necessary.
Pursuant to C.R.S. Section 24‑6‑402(4)(b), the Board may move into executive session for the purpose
of receiving legal advice from counsel on any item appearing before the Board on this agenda.
In addition, the Board of County Commissioners shall conduct such further business as may come before
said meeting.
