Notice is hereby given that the Montezuma County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing for review and determination regarding of a proposed 2 Lot Minor Subdivision & Rezoning Application, submitted by Vistas Unlimited, LLLP; agent: Larry Ott, on property located at 45989 Hwy 160, Mancos, CO, consisting of 35.25 acres, more or less, located east & north of Hwy 160, situated in Sections 31& 32 Township 36N, Range 12W, N.M.P.M.

Notice is hereby given that the Montezuma County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing for review and determination regarding a proposed Subdivision Amendment and Rezoning Application, to Lot #2 of the Garon Ranch 2-Lot Minor Subdivision, submitted by Douglas & Terri Rankin, on property located at 35511 Road R, Mancos, CO, consisting of 11.02 acres, more or less, located north of Hwy 160, east of Road 35.3, situated in Section 28, Township 37N, Range 14W, N.M.P.M.

  1. The Planning Department will present for discussion and approval a proposed Boundary Line Adjustment application submitted by Scott & Mary Ehmke and Ron Louis, on properties located at 25010 & 25000 Road 38.1, Dolores, CO, consisting of 2.75 & 21.54 acres, more or less, both located south of Hwy 145, situated in Section 1, Township 38N, Range 14W, N.M.P.M.

BOARD OF HEALTH

Notice is hereby given that the Montezuma County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the Montezuma County Board of Health, will hold a public hearing on June 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in the Commissioners Room, 109 West Main Street, Cortez, Colorado, to consider evidence regarding a possible violation of state and local On-site Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) regulations at the following property: 29181 Road J.6, Cortez, Colorado 81321.

Adjourn and reconvene as BOCC.

Public Comment

The Public Comment portion of the agenda provides the public an opportunity to speak to the Board of Commissioners about issues that are not on the main agenda. Testimony relating to scheduled agenda items will not be allowed during Public Comment.

Rules of decorum will be strictly enforced. Outbursts and interruptions from any person in the hearing room, including shouting, clapping, booing, laughing, or other reactions to the proceedings, are prohibited. Any comments from the public shall only be made by persons who are residents of Montezuma County, who have been recognized by the Chair, who are speaking into the microphone, and only after they have stated their name and address for the record.

Each person will have 3 minutes to comment. No speaker may yield part or all of his/her time to another speaker. Comments shall only be made to the Board. No comments or questions shall be directed to staff or other members of the public.

Consent Agenda

The Consent Agenda is intended to allow the Board to spend its time on more complex items. These items are generally perceived as non-controversial and can be approved by a single motion. An item may be removed from the Consent Agenda by the Board and addressed in Items Needing Individual Consideration if deemed necessary.

  • Approval of Forest Service SRS payment election and allocation
  • Approval of Policy 26-04 Political Activity
  • Approval of Area Agency on Aging contract for Senior Services
  • Approval of Resolution authorizing a bank account for the Sheriff’s Office for payment of inmate bonds

Item(s) Needing Individual Consideration

  • Discussion and possible decision related to the specifics of the proposed Lodger’s Tax ballot initiative

Pursuant to C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(b), the Board may move into executive session for the purpose of receiving legal advice from counsel on any item appearing before the Board on this agenda.
