Bobbi Lock called to order the regular meeting of the Montezuma County Public Health Board of Health Meeting at 1:30 on 10/6/2026 at Montezuma County BOCC Room.
Joe and Alexis shared updates about their work with the EPIC program. They have met with over 20 community partners to learn more about the work they are doing and what needs they feel need to be addressed in the community. They shared they are working on building a community readiness assessment. They will give an update on that at the next BOH meeting.
Destiny gave an update on current communicable disease issue within the county. The Health Department thanked Commissioner Koppenhafer for helping us with a decapitation need for rabies testing.
A re-cap of the 5th annual RISE walk was provided. Details of the event were provided and the reason behind the walk.
A department update was given. Our new CNC program manager starts on 10/7/2026. An update on Health Fair numbers were provided. The department will continue working with SHS to plan the next one for the community.
Director Bobbi Lock was acknowledged for her 35 years of service!
