The mission of Child Protective Services is to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Our goal is to provide support that allows children to remain safely in their homes whenever possible. When children must be placed outside the home, we offer services to help families reunify and create stable, permanent living environments.
Montezuma County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) is committed to:

The Child Welfare Department at MCDSS investigates and assesses reports of child abuse and neglect involving children from birth through age 18. We provide both intake and ongoing support to families and children in need.

Please call the Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 1-844-264-5437 to report concerns about a child’s safety and well-being. All calls are confidential and will be routed to the county where the child resides.
