Public Health Recommendations

If smoke is thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood, you may want to remain indoors. This is especially important for individuals with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, young children, and older adults.

  • Limit outdoor activity when moderate to heavy smoke is present.
  • Consider temporarily relocating if indoor smoke is making you ill.
  • If visibility is less than 5 miles due to smoke, air quality has reached unhealthy levels.
